181 South Walnut Street, Hagerstown, Maryland
The morning light shines over the monument
as we quietly celebrate our first Memorial Day 2019
No ceremony ... just individual remembrances
Some who have stopped by the site
left symbols of their visit ...
sadly others take them away
Another wish on our list has come true ...
equipment is brought in on June 19, 2019,
excavation begins,
and water is later delivered to our site.
Sometimes it's the simple things in life
that mean the most
Park employees work hard to get the site ready for it's next improvement ...

... and on July 17, 2019 fences bordering the front of the site are installed
Although it appears as though we are lassoing trees,
this part of our upgrade will not be visible,
but the outcome from it will.
Irrigation lines will keep our plants
watered and healthy.
(And those who carried water to the site a couple of times a week to do this the old-fashioned way are NOT sad to see their services are no longer needed for this manual task.)
We were surprised, yet pleased,
to be notified of our
Public Space Enhancement Award,
presented at a
Mayor and Council meeting
on August 27, 2019
Stayed tuned for our next addition . . .
